Grammy. Granny. Nanny.

After we tested last monday we couldn't wait to tell the parents. They have been waiting for this for a long long time (as we have)! We told the parents in no certain order, just who we were able to see first and went from there. Monday after work I went to the dollar store and bought some cheap bibs and gift bags, our idea was to get bibs for the new Grandma's and Grandpa's, but surprisingly its not easy to find bibs for Grandpa's, so we did Grandma bibs only. I took each one, with a different saying, and marked out Grandma with a permanent marker & wrote in what each would be called. My Mom, Grammy. My step-Mom, Granny. and Mikey's Mom, Nanny. Each time I put the positive test in with the bib. So for example it read, What part of Grandma NANNY don't you understand?

The first response. I tried calling my Mom to plan a dinner night so we could give her the gift, instead she said, "Dad wants to wait until Wednesday, why do you have news for me" my response "No, just wanted to see you" So we went and ate dinner and Brandon & Leslie's house and we just showed up unexpected at my parents house late enought that I knew they'd be there. We talked for a little while before I pulled the gift bag out of my purse and I said "oh, we got you a present." (we did that part the same for everyone) She pulled out the bib and test and her response....
"YOU LIED TO ME" (with a huge grin on her face) Yeah Mom like I was going to tell you OVER THE PHONE? anyway.. LOTS of hugs, kisses, and claps later, Pearl, my little siser-  was sitting on the couch watching TV turned around and saw the test & of course bawled....I wouldn't expect anything less from her :)

The second response. I called Mom Becky tuesday morning and we agreed to meet for lunch. (she later informed me she thought I had something bad to talk to her about, quite the opposite) So we met at Chick fil a and Mikey also met us there. After we ordered our food and sat down, I pulled the same "oh we got you a gift." Her response....
"Are you ppp, are you ppp" she couldn't get the words out. After she saw the test she squeeled pretty loudly (I think the whole restaurant turned around), and she wanted to keep the test, I was going to have to pry it out of her hands lol. She was super duper excited, and will be the one taking care of our precious bundle when I go back to work :)

The third response. Kitty, my mother in law, had already planned on us coming for dinner Tuesday night, so it worked out perfectly for her to not suspect anything. She cooked a huge meal, actually I thought she had some kind of news for us or something? Anyways we talk for a while and we all sit at the table with our salads and I pulled the gift out, she said "ooh can I open it now?" her response.....
"REALLY? REALLY? REALLY? OMG, REALLY?" All while crying and laughing. For the rest of the night I was not allowed to get up out of my chair, she fixed my dinner and dessert plates. Everytime she got up to make my plates she could clap and jump up and down, and start crying all over again. After dinner we went in the living room she put her arms up so no one could get by and said, what chair do YOU want Jeannie? I'm definitely going to get used to this. And before we left she said, "is there anything in my house that yall want? You can have anything you want right now." I only took the sprite but had I thought longer, we would have had lots of new stuff ;)
